Five Great Games Like Skyrim for PC

Skyrim

Skyrim is a great game. But what is a PC gamer to do when you have explored every dungeon, completed all the missions, and want something similar, but just a bit new? Here, we have gathered a list of five (but actually seven, in total) games like Skyrim for your playing pleasure. Read on to learn more about great games like Skyrim.

Oblivion

This great game is part of the Elder Scrolls series, a very popular PC gaming series. This series offers lots of main and smaller quests to keep you hooked. You can design your own character (a convicted criminal whose execution has been stayed by the King), choose your skills from a set of 21 to start, earn more as you play, and explore a large, vast world. You’ll get equipment, experience, and skills, along the way.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die

Dark Souls is not only like Skyrim in many ways, but is also very challenging, even for experienced PC gamers. In this game, you explore a large world where you role-play as a character of your designing, meet-up with other players, and explore dungeons. You can play just the main quests, here, or the side ones, as well, and play bosses, collect items, and more.

Neverwinter Nights

This game goes on and on and on, literally. Expect to play a long time, here. Players are given the role of an adventurer that they control from a third-person POV. This game mainly follows a lengthy main story, where you will be expected to meet certain objectives before moving on.

Fallout 3 & New Vegas

Both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are great games. Of the two, New Vegas is the newer game. New Vegas packs more of a punch when it comes to action, but Fallout 3 probably has the larger world to explore. Both games follow a character that players help to design throughout most of their lives.

The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings & The Witcher

Technically, here, just like our Fallout entry above, you could include The Witcher 1 and 2. Enter a dark world where you play a character you design who must often may moral decisions, mix potions, and attack others. These games are actually based upon Polish books. The controls on these games are great, and there are lots to do in both games.
